Assistant Principal - Alexis Young

Mrs. Alexis Young is excited to have the opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal of Bishop Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year. This is Mrs. Young’s 13th year in education, but she has been a member of the Everman ISD school community for 11 years. Mrs. Young left the district briefly to serve as a special education and resource teacher for Crowley ISD, but she missed her bulldog family and was ready to come back to where her journey first began. Throughout Mrs. Young’s teaching career in Everman, she has served in various capacities, such as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, and most recently as the instructional coach at Townley Elementary.

Mrs. Young earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and her Master in Elementary Education from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!).

Mrs. Young believes that students should be challenged daily with learning that is meaningful, engaging, and purposeful. However, that is only a portion of the recipe for success. Students also need positive role models who show that they care. Mrs. Young stated, “If my students can look back many years from now and remember the lessons they learned from me, and the love I showed them, then I made a difference.”
